I Peter 2:9 (NIV) "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."

Missionaries Move to Costa Rica

Dan was born in Dallas, Texas but grew up in Mexico where his parents were missionaries, from the age of one until college. He graduated from Biola University and Talbot Theological Seminary. While studying at Talbot and teaching part-time Spanish courses at Biola, he met Claudia. She too was a "missionary kid," having grown up in many different countries. Her parents, Bud and Bev Chase, had been missionaries since 1967 in Japan, where she attended junior and senior high school.

Following graduation (Dan from Talbot, Claudia from Biola) in 1977 they began missionary work in Madrid, Spain. Their ministry was in the area of evangelism and discipleship, especially among university students. After ten years in Spain, including a 1 1/2-year "furlough" in Mexico City, they ministered as church planters in Hamburg, Germany for thirteen years. At the present they are in San Jose, Costa Rica working with their mission in an existing church plant, helping to establish leaders. Dan now has full responsibility for the church there. Many are responding to the Gospel and both Dan and Claudia find great joy in seeing new believers grow as they disciple them.
