Romans 1:16 (NKJV) "
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek."
O Senhor e' Fiel (The Lord Is Faithful)
Sillas and Wanger are both native Brazilians. Sillas was baptized in 1969 and was called to the ministry, like his father and brother. While attending a Bible school in Brazil, he met Wanger. She came to the Lord through the ministry of Richard Denham, an American missionary to Brazil. After their marriage, they were challenged by the Denhams to obtain further training in the United States. As the Lord opened doors, they were able to spend three and one half years studying at Christian Heritage College and attending Scott Memorial Baptist Church.
In 1985 after graduation, Sillas and Wanger were sent by Scott Memorial Baptist Church to Brazil as national missionaries to establish local churches and help Christian Literature Advance, a publishing ministry. In 1986 Sillas assisted in starting and pastoring a church in Sao Jose dos Campos. In January of 1995 the Campos relocated in Bragança to begin a new church planting ministry. With the help of the Bragança church, a new church was born in nearby Pinhalzinho. Sillas and Wanger plan to continue establishing new local churches in Brazil.
