Jeff and Beth both received Christ at young ages and grew up in Christian homes. Even before they graduated from Christian Heritage College with BA's in missions, both had a desire to have a part in fulfilling the great commission on a foreign field.

The HAuses’ first term of service found them serving in the rural town of San Ignacio in eastern Bolivia where they worked in village evangelism and in leadership development among pastors of rural communities. Their second term assignment was in Santa Cruz, a large urban center of eastern Bolivia, with Jeff filling the position of academic dean in a leadership development program called CIET (Centro Interdenominacional de Estudios Teologicos). He coordinates the effort to take the training out of the classroom and into local churches and rural areas. Now in their third term, Jeff continues in the administration of CIET (now called Centro Integral de Estudios Teolicos), and Beth continues her involvement in CIET as a teacher of Sunday School teachers--taking workshops right to the teachers' own churches. She also continues in a children's ministry known as "La Casa Azul" (The Blue House). This ministry draws from the talents of many, including the director Pablo Scetti, as well as Jeff, Marie, Brittany, and even Steven. This outreach offers evangelistic programs through puppets and drama in open air campaigns, as well as programs of encouragement to the local churches. Beth also enjoys her involvement in children's ministry at their local church, where Jeff also serves on the pastoral team.
