Sharing the "Spoken Word"

Jim was raised in a Christian home and received Christ as his Savior at a young age. In the seventh grade at summer camp, he dedicated his life to the Lord.

Esther accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of seventeen and shortly after, dedicated her life to foreign missions.

They met when both were seniors at Christian High School. They lost touch when Jim went away to Biola University and did not meet again until a high school reunion. Upon graduating from college, Esther joined the staff at Word of Life in Schroon Lake, New York. After Jim and Esther were married in 1982, Jim also applied to Word of Life and they were soon on their way to Ecuador. For over 20 years together they ministered to the Ecuadorian youth in evangelism and discipleship.

Since June of 2005 Jim has been the Border Ministry Coordinator with their home church, Shadow Mountain Community Church and is working on both sides of the Mexican border to facilitate the establishment of Hispanic churches that are Biblically sound, Christ honoring, self-supporting, self-governing, and reproductive. Jim and Esther and their three boys are living in El Cajon, California.
