Welcome to Women’s Ministry
We want every woman to connect with God, His Word, and other women who will help them grow! Shadow Mountain Women is designed for women of all ages to belong to an authentic Christ-centered church community where they will experience growth and life change through the Word of God.
“For the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature woman (man), to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:12 – 13
People sometimes ask, “Where is God when it hurts?”. The book of Job provides answers to this question. This is an encouraging study that offers hope in the midst of all life’s trials and hurts. Join us in learning with Job that God is always there and He knows what He is doing.
If you have ever wanted to try an inductive bible study, the book of Job would be the perfect place to start. A basic in-person class on “How to do a Precept Upon Precept Bible Study” is scheduled for September 3, 2024 or an online class is available anytime at precept.org. FOR MORE INFO, EMAIL class administrator Cheryl Rains.
The apostle Paul founded many churches in the Roman Empire, including one in the prominent city of Corinth. But after personally ministering to them for years, he is saddened to one day discover that he is being viciously slandered and ridiculed by adversaries who have arrived in the region. Paul responds by penning a letter to them, defending not only his authority as an apostle of Christ but also the truth of the gospel he had so painstakingly modeled in their midst. Paul’s words reveal the cost of following Christ– and the ultimate rewards that await those who are faithful to Jesus.
The Amazing Collection takes you on a unique journey through Scripture, pointing to Jesus from Isaiah through Obadiah.
Book #5 The Major Prophets | Book #6 The Early Minor Prophets
You can start at any part of the study going through the Bible to where you began, in order to get your 3 year certificate. For example, if you start with Romans, you will complete your 3 year study with Acts.
This study is for beginning and advanced Bible students with additional study notes to help you go even deeper.
This study is through Big Dream Ministries with 11 workbooks that cover all 66 books of the Bible.
Each week there will be 5 days of study (the big picture, a crucial chapter, a prominent player, a notable feature, and a timeless principle), requiring 3-8 hours of study time each week. You can complete a day at a time like a devotional, or you can complete more days in a sitting depending on the time you have each week.
Through this study you will gain a more thorough understanding of the WHO-WHAT-WHEN-WHERE-WHY of each book of the Bible while enjoying discussion time and fellowship with your group.
Big Dream Ministries videos bring the books of the Bible to life.
You will experience a deeper walk with our Creator and Lord, the Author of the one book that can change your life!
Jennifer became blind when she was fifteen years old and has experienced firsthand how God’s companionship gives her comfort and confidence in every season of her life. Now more than thirty years later, as an author and speaker, she boldly and compassionately teaches women how to trust God in every season too.
Every woman longs for someone to protect and care for her – someone to guide her when she’s not sure of her next steps, to provide rest when she’s worn out, to walk with her when the valley is dark. In this study, Jennifer explains how God is the Good Shepherd whose companionship provides the comfort and confidence every woman needs. Psalm 23 gives a whole understanding of God’s love and care and provides the confidence in being free to be a sheep – a needy, vulnerable devoted sheep! Come along sister, let the good shepherd grow you closer to Him as you spend time in this Psalm.
Do you ever feel like the happy ending of your story is a million miles away?
Then you know how the Jewish people felt when they returned to their wrecked land after exile and began rebuilding the temple. They were distracted, discouraged, and ready to throw in the towel. But the prophet Haggai reminded them they could find courage in the God who had never left them.
Sometimes, the landscapes of our lives feel wrecked, with our hope and purpose in shambles. We, too, get distracted and discouraged. However, God’s presence and promises give us the courage to press on and trust Him with our story.
In this 7-session study on the Book of Haggai, learn to walk confidently in your calling, stay motivated despite opposition, and courageously invest your life in God’s purposes, trusting Him for results you may never see in this lifetime.

Connecting Women through Discipleship and Mentoring
Each relationship is unique and tailored to meet the needs of the woman with the goal of growing in Christ. Walk through life with a Godly woman who pours wisdom, encouragement, and prayer into your life as you face various trials and joys.
If there are times in your life when you just wish you could talk with a friend, share happy news (or sad), or meet for coffee and some "girl time", our Mentoring ministry is for you. This warm and supportive relationship with a devoted Christian woman allows you to "do life" with someone who cares for you using Biblical principles. When partnered with Discipleship, you can be equipped with a deeper understanding of a Christ-centered lifestyle and what that means to believers. Our Discipleship Ministry offers a more structured approach. It includes basic elements of our Christian faith presented in a lovely workbook/study format. Please take that first step...reach out to us and we'll be there for you!

A Widow's Fellowship
Our mission is to find purpose and meaning in life as a widow, to develop and grow in a personal relationship with God, and to establish a strong support system of widows seeking new paths of Christian living. There are monthly lunches where we meet at restaurants together.
We connect every month on Zoom with our missionary ladies all over the world, including women in Albania, Thailand, Africa and more. This is a chance for the missionaries to give a brief update of what is going on in their live, and to pray for them. It’s also a way for Shadow Mountain women to connect with our Shadow Mountain missionaries!
Click here to register for our monthly zoom meetings. Upcoming zoom meetings will be on March 21, April 18, May 16, June 20, July 18, Aug 15, Sept 19, Oct 17, Nov 21, and Dec 19.
Come for a wonderful time of fellowship and a devotional as we sew, knit, & crochet items for various San Diego charities and welcome gifts for SMCC newborns.
